Working with the preschool children is truly a blessing to me. I retired from secretarial work after 29 years, and now I help with the preschool at Central UMC in Denton. Preschool is truly God sent!įour Things I Love: Spending time with my grandson, Reading, Exploring Pinterest, and Scarecrows Preschool Assistant I love the preschoolers and their families. Kindergarten had truly been my love and passion but preschool replaced that quickly. ![]() So in September 2011 I met my first class of preschoolers. My response was, “God will provide something as I am not sitting at home.” In July the preschool’s assistant job became open and then the teacher’s job. Friends questioned me about what I was going to do now that I was retired. I retired from teaching Kindergarten on July 1, 2011. – I taught Kindergarten at Denton Elementary School from 1976-2011 She lives with her dog, Macey, a Jack Russell Terrier who enjoys anything water. Amy is a competitive powerlifter, a National Referee, and a Club Coach with USAPL, and is passionate about the connection between our physical bodies and our spiritual lives. Amy is a 2004 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a 2013 graduate of the Candler School of Theology at Emory University with a Master of Divinity. Her passion for music and seeing all grow in their faith came together in one night in this call. She heard the call from God on her life while serving at a Christian concert. Staff Reverend Amy Amy Hutchison was called to ministry in 2009 after serving for 7 years in nonprofit resource development. ![]()
